Message from the Secretary Darren Greenfield
All at the CFMEU wish our members a restful and safe Easter long Weekend.
The time off in accordance with the CFMEU 2020 RDO Calendar will give you all an opportunity to take a well-earned break.
We appreciate that workers and their families are operating in a heightened state of stress as a result of Covid-19.
We are proud of all our CFMEU members who have embraced the need to work safely on site to minimise the risk of illness.
Your safety is our priority and we acknowledge all of those who have worked together to keep the construction industry going safely and construction workers in jobs. This is essential for CFMEU members but also to the community at large as we see the adverse impact of Covid-19 in other sectors of the community.
It will be important to maintain the standards of hygiene and social distancing so as to curb the spread of Covid-19 more broadly in the community and we trust that members will adhere to the requirements to stay at home and get a good rest this weekend and be able to return to work refreshed.
Together we will get through this challenge.
